Going within
May peace be with you my friend - Welcome & thank you for tuning in.
The essence of the energy of that which I am going to share is that of going within.
A redirection of our energy & attention from outward - to inward.
It is a slowing down, a listening & actually a tuning in.
Tuning into that which is within you & of course that which is without.
One of connection, intuition, moving slowly, foundational energies of trust, acceptance, nourishment. One of gaining insight, heeding messages, creating intentions, the planting of seeds, an ending & yet a beginning, transition.
The Wise Woman
I just want to speak to labels for a moment - Labels are helpful at times for us to understand something BUT, we must be sure not to create a box with that label. What I am trying to communicate here is the essence of the energy within this "label" - this is a feeling, a knowing, a resonance, ways of being. The "label" is here to guide us back to the knowing xx
The Wise Woman - The Spirit or essence of the Wise Woman is one of knowing, of a sureness. One of connection & knowledge of innate wisdom. One of wisdom herself. Recognition of connection to "All", intuitive connection with self also, past the point of self actualisation to a deep knowing.
The Wise Woman of course can be aligned with a woman who is older - but of course doesn't have to be. It is more the passage of work or evolutionary stage of being.
There is an essence of calm knowing - tau that comes with the spirit of the wise woman.
She moves slowly, with presence, within the present moment.
She is grounded deeply within the wisdom of life.
She may be a teacher, a guide, a story teller. A passer on of wisdom.
The essence of the Wise Woman recognises the wisdom within life, within her body, the interconnected nature it all.
The New Moon
The New Moon is dark - Its interesting, because we may perceive the darkness to be well "dark" & all things associated with that - but it is also "New" speaking to potential - there is an interesting contrast there. This actually speaks to the concept of non-duality - Much like the Yin Yang symbol - Its not one or the other - but everything all at once. Seamlessly & beautifully connected & flowing into each other.
Anyway I digress....The New Moon is also dark - this energy speaks of going within. It is known as a time of lower energies. Rather than us perhaps blaming our lack of energy/motivation etc "on the moon" we are called to heed the insights......That it is a time to go within. For respite. It is the birthplace of something new, the seed, the intention.
The seed must be planted/placed in the darkness in order to sprout.
In the meeting of our energy & the New Moon - What unique alchemy is being presented to us? How may it be conceptualised? understood?
This is a time to connect. To go within.
Where you are right now in yourself? What does the energy of the New Moon communicate to you? What does going within look like? What does respite look like? What does planting seeds look like? Moving slower look like? Slowing down.....sinking into the cycle....releasing pressure....allowing to be....What does shifting out of doing into being feel like/look like? What feelings/thoughts does it bring up?
At this time - It is a beautiful time to journal. To put to paper you unique insights, gaining clarity, learning - doing your mahi ora - life work. Life's "homework" haha That extra study to level up.
When we are at the New Moon phase of our Lunar Cycle we are shown that cycles are constant. There is an ending, but a beginning then emerges from that. It is a NEW CYCLE - this calls us to leave behind that which is in the past. To step into the new. To see potential. To know there is potential. To understand that space is created through the end of something so the new can form.
This is actually a phase - Speaking to the phases either side of our New Moon - the ending, the essence of creation, then the spark of the new. Transition. Change. Creation. Dark - Yet new.
An ending, a birthplace. Yin, Yang.
This is the essence or energy of the New Moon.
Can you sense it?
This is your innate wisdom - that resonance you feel x
winter
The energy or essence of the Wise Woman is also reflected back to us in the season of Winter. The transition. The dying down of the vegetation so the nutrients can stay within the roots of the tree/plant.
Whilst seemingly barren & less life - there is a critical redirection of energy into the roots governed by the season. The plant life & well, all life n nature - heeds this wisdom. The animals get their thicker coats, some may go into hibernation, & aforementioned - the plant life shifts from outward expression of growth to inward. To saving energy. To nourishing roots. To preparing for the growth ahead.
This is also a time in our gardens when we nourish the soil, replenish it.
Do you feel it? The resonance of connection? Your wisdom?
All the insight we need - is within us & without.
Nature is here to guide & support us.....
We are a part of nature.
Winter is cold - we want to stay indoors, nourish our bodies with hearty kai/food.
We may need to "batten down the hatches" - go within.
The insights are many & all around us when we slow down to connect to it.
Winter calls us to move slower. To recognise the value in this slowness & the redirection of energy. It is critical to the process/cycle.
We may even liken a season of our lives to a "winter", stormy, tough, feeling as though there is no growth, dense feeling, darker.........but within this knowing - that there is a shift happening. There is a reshuffling. An ending to create a new beginning.......
As we shift our perception of winter to the beauty of its insights & energy - Winter becomes beautiful.
The stillness, the being, the reset, the potential.
Our inner cycle - Our Moontime
There are two facets to this that the Wise Woman connects with. The energy of a woman who no longer has her cycle, a slowing down, a ceasing to have a cycle & moving into a new phase of life, the great change, transition (which I can't speak on just yet - but look forward to learning about & experiencing!)
And of course the Menstruation phase of our "Moontime" our inner cycle - Which also connects to the Moon - as you may have guessed!
This as we will know - Is a time of low energy. Our body calls us to slow down. To nourish ourselves, perhaps to even receive rather than give....It is the end of our cycle & yet a clearing away for the beginning.
It is a time for us to seek respite, to honour ourselves - To go within. To shift the direction of our energy from doing to being.
In this way - there is of course a leaning into self. This then leads to connecting to our innate wisdom, intuition, to sit with & heed the messages that have been coming forward. To perhaps reflect. To perhaps journal...
Can you see how the essence of the Wise Woman is repeated & repeated within ourselves & nature?
The learning cycle or the birth of an idea
We can even look at this essence for guidance within the learning process or perhaps the setting of an intention.
It is the going within. The seed of a thought. That then needs to be nourished, to then be recognised.
It is the learning process that may be messy. We may need to create space for something new - shift our perspective, be open to new learning...
There is the phase where it may seem unformed, on the cusp of creation, not quite birthed, not quite realised.
We sit with it. We slow down. We give it attention, allowing for the growth.
There is the feeling of going into this learning, sometimes a feeling of unsureness, it may be foreign, it may be "dark" - not knowing.
This is the leaning in. The going within. The redirection of your attention & energy inwards.
It is not one of action or expecting something to manifest - but the surrender to the essence of creation. An openness. Being. A humble feeling. A knowing that we are all just children in the school of life always learning & actually always growing - no matter what age we are!
I thank you for taking the time to read this! I still have much to learn & well - Putting it into words is something that is still coming together for me - BUT I most definitely feel it & I hope that you can (begin to) recognise this energy & insight that is here for you too.
The magic of life is within the alchemy of our meeting with life & this wisdom that surrounds us & is within us. Of course each of these cycles may not all line up - But this is where the magic is my friend!
Its within the alchemy of it. The meeting.
The meeting of moments. Our awareness. The messages. The knowledge. The wisdom.
It is within our meeting with the unique nature of what life is presenting to us.
This is always here for us. This is always possible. This is perhaps a new way to look at life or one that you are sinking deeper into.
May you recognise the energy of the Wise Woman & her insights that are before you. May this wisdom & your innate wisdom guide you.
