Over the past 4 years I have connected with the Moon & her cycles more & more. Through this practice I have learned much about myself, my own inner cycles, felt a deeper connection to the environment around me, gained insight & felt more guided & in tune.

There is much to share - but I shall not digress! This sharing in particular; is about our own practices of healing in relation to the guidance of the moon phases & how through connecting to the moon - we can be guided on what we can tend to in relation to our mahi ora - Life work or perhaps mahi wairua - spiritual work.

On the last phase of our Lunar Cycles - just before we go into Whiro our New Moon Phase & the beginning of our new Lunar Cycle - We have the last phase Mutuwhenua, ending the cycle.

It is a lower energy time, so I use it to go inwards as a time of reflection. This is my guidance received in relation to my connection with the moon. To sit with all that has happened over the past lunar cycle & reflect. To take time to sit with this energy. To write & see what presents itself. To delve into it & be curious with what is arising within my heart, mind & body.

To me this is a "spiritual practice" it is part of my commitment to my self & my personal learning journey. Connecting in with the energy of reflection at this time of the month feels aligned; as it is almost a tying up of any loose ends that need tending to before the beginning of the new Lunar Month when new intentions will be set & I continue to practice my sense of presence.

Living life with presence calls us to live in the moment - This is one of the foundational ways of being I am always mindful to embody. At times I don't get it right. However a knowing that I have time to sit in reflection at the end of each month has been a gift that I give myself.

A space of deep connection & insight. Sometimes of joy, sometimes of sorrow, sometimes deep realisations. It all serves a purpose. There is often writing involved, but not always. It always is in solitude, silence & presence. With deep gratitude.

Refection serves a purpose. It is just important not to make camp there lol
